Oh my aching butt

My '04 GMC is about due for a new seat too. In and out, in and out, in and out, takes a toll on the left seat bolster. That, and the seat heater pad on the drivers side is kaput. I think $250 and some time to install it should have everything back in order. My wife has a 2016 Explorer and for the life of me I can't make that seat comfortable regardless of the adjustments. My GMC (like your rig) has been molded to my butt and is more comfy than my easy chair in the living room!

I find it is vital for me to remove my wallet if I'm going to drive for more than one hour. Even when it isn't bulging with money (ha!) that lump makes me sit with a twist in my spine that turns to agony after a while.

+1 It causes sciatica if I drive on it to long. Can't be the cash. More likely it is the credit cards and all those stupid store customer loyalty membership cards. All them things literally become a pain in the butt. Bob

My 99 F250 is the only vehicle I can drive for more than an hour without getting a backache.
    +1 on removing the wallet.

When too much money in my wallet throws my spine out of alignment I go see my chiropracter and he removes the offending bills.

I too have to remove my wallet if I drive more than an hour at a stretch, sucks getting old. And like NEOBLACKDOG, the left bolster has gotten a hole in it on my 2012 F150. I'll wait until it gets a little bigger before having it repaired/reupholstered.

One could certainly find a cheap replacement seat at a wrecking yard. But chances are, it'd have the same problem if it's the same age.
