Mossberg 44B barrel removal
What's the correct procedure for removing the barrel on a Mossberg 44B 22cal rifle

I suspect its unscrew the take down stud and pull the barrel out but it could be screwed in or have another screw, maybe even adhesive.
I would ask these people they are all things Mossberg.

Like Charlie said, it's pressed in, and the stud is the retainer. 0 -
I contacted Havlin and applying their advice the barrel came right out using some heat from a Mapp torch 0 -
Well done. Thanks for completing the answer. 0 -
FWIW, Victor and Cheryl Havlin of havlinsales.com are THE go to people for anything on Mossbergs- especially older Mossberg 22s. Victor is the author of More Gun for Your Money, used to work for Mossberg, he and Cheryl run the Mossberg Collector's Assoc- and are really nice folks to do business with. 0 -
Dokey, how did you do it? 0 -
I used heat from a Mapp torch and a wood dowel to drive it out 0
