Nascar of just like it

Well I thought it was NASCAR.

Just leaving Tampa FL. Never been here before. Traffic is crazy. Everywhere you go the highways are 3 lanes wide and people drive like it it NASCAR. They punch the gas at every light and if you don?t move along they sit on your bumper like at the races.

    If you've ever driven in Boone NC, you'll find it similar to the Bristol track.

    Back in the ?80?s, I was driving from Daytona to Tampa and it was like that. I had to watch my right mirror because someone would go past me on the shoulder.

    Actually had someone pass me in the breakdown lane. The lane was full of junk they just ran over. Be surprised if they did not get a flat.

    Florida roads/highways are 10 years behind where they should be. Does not help with people fleeing NY and Kali in droves and heading here.

    I drove in Tijuana. Traffic signs are just suggestions:

    STOP means, do not stop here, you will get rear ended.

    ONE WAY means, move to the right - traffic is one way in each direction.

    45 means, we had a spare sign so we are storing it here by the road.

    Flashing light, means, if you want free beer from the beer truck that rolled you need to slow down so a passenger can hit the ground running.

    Pretty sure that you can't just go the speed limit here in the Tampa Bay area, if you do six cars will run up your behind and if you leave a safe distance between yourself and the car in front of you ........... six cars will wedge in to fill the gap,
    I hate driving here, it's like a melting pot of crappy bad drivers, all with attitude and courtesy is just a fable.

    You boys are amateurs. If you've ever driven on the I-285 loop around Atlanta during the morning rush hour (hours) and lived to tell about it then you know what I mean. If someone is doing 85 in the fast lane they better move over or that train of cars doing 95 behind them will move them over one way or another.

    It looks a whole lot like plate racing at the superspeedways with different lines of cars moving up and falling back except with no rules on drafting and pushing.

    Tell it Bro............ State Troopers look ridiculous out there trying to control them, like trying to catch greased pigs :lol:

    Spend a year or two driving around Europe and you'll understand how orderly the worst US driving is. In addition to the continual car 3-ft off your bumper, while another cuts ahead of you into a space of a half-car length or less, then there are the motor cycles that pass between you and the car in the next lane. There are good parts though: Trucks are prohibited from the left lane, and left-lane-loonies do move over to let you pass!

    The beltway around DC. If you take the wrong exit, you cannot get back on.

    The two scariest places I've ever driven were San Juan Puerto Rico and Naples Italy, it's more like a death race than anything.

    You also don't want to be some poor pedestrian caught in the crosswalk when the light turns green, these places don't have a bag limit on pedestrians.

    California, NY, NJ, Chitcago ........ amateurs Now Atlanta, that's a whole different nightmare.

    Wife and I went to Minn. around Chicago about noon yrs. ago. I was going 105 in a Camaro staying with traffic with the fuzz sitting along the road watching. I have to say Atlanta takes the cake. I have pulled my hauler thru there all hours..doesn't matter they drive like the last lap of the Indy 500
