anti-gun co-worker
So the woman at the desk near mine was reading the news this morning, and apparently there was a shooting in Atlanta. She commented about how no one cares, but then corrected herself and said, "Well, the people care, it's just Congress who isn't willing to do anything about it because they're all being paid by the NRA!"
Me, a lifetime NRA member:
I don't bring up ANY politics at work because I work for a weed company in Denver, and I know that most everyone probably doesn't agree with me, as well as the fact that IT'S NOBODY'S BUSINESS.
So instead of commenting, I just went out to my car and moved my car firearm to my hip (which is illegal in Denver, BTW), and then I felt a lot better.

I have an off topic question; where do you get the weed from? It would have to from in-state I would think and what is the mark-up?0 -

Well, I was over-simplifying. Technically we are a cosmetics company, and we use CBD in our products. We do, however, sell "incomplete" kits of product to licensed partners, who in turn, infuse our products with THC so they can be sold in dispensaries in other states (and in Colorado). And you are correct, however - all THC products for infusion are grown & infused within the states in which they are sold. For now, THC in any form cannot cross state lines.
And to answer the question you didn't ask but wanted to: yes, some employees can and do (sometimes) get high at work and it's A-OK.0 -

I respond to that crap by adding another gun to my EDC.
When the nurse suggested I was overweight I lined up my pistols on the table then stepped on the scales again.
She said I may be a little light for my height.
NAA 22 in the watch pocket, S&W 360PD in left ankle holster, Glock 43 IWB at 9 oclock, S&W M&P .22 IWB at 3 oclock, Another Glock 43 in the jacket pocket as well as various magazines and speed loaders.

Its been a long time since I smoked pot but I cannot imagine getting much work done when I was stoned

Although I do partake in cannabis, it's at night to help me sleep. I don't get high at work or during the day. But many people can be high-functioning (no pun intended!) when under the cannabis influence. There are so many varieties now (when combining the two main ones - indica or sativa), that you can actually very productive if you're not abusing it.0 -

Out here in the deep woods I like a 10mm for bears, deer and vehicles; a 9mm for dirt bags and tweakers; a .22 for groundhogs and snakes; a 22 mini in my watch pocket because I don't own a watch and a 357 mag or 9mm for a pocket gun.
The pocket gun is not just for backup, its for security - my hand is on it anytime I feel the need.
And sometimes, I just like to take part of my collection for a walk.0 -

I've been leaving the house at 3-4 am 5-6 mornings a week for decades to patrol my hunting lease. The lady neighbor across the street was up for a pee one morning and saw me carrying my rifle to the truck and called the Police. A few weeks later somebody was breaking into cars on our street and she got all indignant that I didn't run out with my rifle and shoot them. She wants to panic when she sees a rifle, then expects everybody to protect her and her goods.0 -
A gun on the hip is like Linus' security blanket. I wonder when will Trump make it legal for everyone to pack a gun like those idiots who brings their dumb ass lap dog as "service animals"? Hell I'll suck my thumb in public if I can hold my AK Pistol in public . I'll bet folks won't make fun of me while holding that instead of a blanket.0 -
