TDS Internet 1 Mbps
for around 80 bucks a month, I told them not to bother. Pitfalls of rural living I guess I think I'm going to add a cell phone booster system and see if I can use my unlimited data as a hot spot first.

I feel your pain. All our rural Internet providers are ridiculously expensive and rated very poorly. I am NOT going to give Dish Network one extra dime of my $$.
My solution was to buy a Samsung Eclipse Verizon dedicated tablet. Internet access via the 4G network.
It has worked for me.0 -
I pay about that for landline and high speed fiber optic in town. 0 -
We live out in the boonies, and have fiber optics to my basement, for around $80 a month.
Local phone company, Marne-Elk Horn, ran all new single mode fiber around their area a few years ago.
It?s very nice.0
