Found myself pleading that this not be the "strange bathroom experiences" trip
Yall know me by now.....
Odd situations, strange encounters, its all part of my normal routine.....so I just roll with the punches as best as I can.
We headed to Houston Friday to pick up a collection. So, after gathering the bag, making the coffee, doing all I could to get ahead of whatever was coming my way......we head out and are on the road by 7:30am.
Its me and a friend of mine that is a fellow "gun nut."
After three hours on the road we stop at a Cracker Barrel to get something to eat and visit the restroom. Its packed....people everywhere, waiting on a table, so we decide to go somewhere else. Before we leave I run into the ladies room. All the stall doors are closed except the one I go into.....the toilet flushes before I can get in there.....flushes for every movement made, no matter how careful you are or slowly you move.
I get back to the truck and say "that was a bit more frustrating than expected." My friend laughs when I tell him how screwy things were.
A few hours later we stop in at a welcome center.....just to walk around and use the restrooms. I get in there and I'm blissfully alone.....what looked like 50 stalls were there just for me.....what could go wrong???? I'm in one and grab the paper roll.....it falls down onto the floor and rolls out into the room beyond the door. I've got the end and I'm pulling slightly on the paper (hoping not to rip it.)
I didn't even hear the door.....but when I opened that stall this woman was standing there trying not to look at me. I don't know if she was embarrassed about not helping me get the paper back or what, but she was NOT going to look me in the eye.....which made things even weirder than they already were.
So, I get back to the truck and tell my friend........he is about to bust he is laughing so hard at me.
I found myself begging out loud...."PLEASE don't let this be a strange bathroom trip." My pleads must have worked because I don't have any more stories past those and we made it home safe and sound.

At least you didn't open the door and view four men standing at urinals! 0 -

Public bathrooms can be scary places! An old buddy went into a big truck stop restroom and had the place all to himself. Picked a stall out of the plethora that looked the cleanest and went to work. About halfway through his business someone came in and my friend felt the need to give a curtesy flush. The dang toilet overflowed with him sitting there!!

I found his story very funny. He got a charge out of my laughter, but at the time when it happened, he could not find a smile in a turd soaked set of underwear, socks, boots, or trousers!
 :evil:0 -
At Least you did not have the roll of TP, wrapped around your ankle, headed back out to your vehicle.

I've visited so many cracker barrel restaurants on my adventures that I no longer feel the need to slowly meander around their nick-knack store. Its one of the best places to stop in if you NEED to make a stop on a long trip. I sometimes pick up the books on CD there and the odd snacks are a plus if you are looking for something a bit different from your gas station snacks. 0
