A buddy of mine swears by Bulleit Rye... I haven't tried it actually. Maybe I need to... "Give it a shot". (pun intended of course)0 -

For the $$, it's great stuff, about $30 a fifth. Very smooth, no harsh alcohol fire breathing after taste, and if you let it sit in your mouth for a few seconds yo can taste the char, and some really good flavor. By far my favorite for the $$..
FWIW, is your wife still taking care of that nice little Kimber 22??0 -
Bulleit is some fine whiskey. 0 -
Jack Daniels... Ole' # 7.. Three fingers and 3 cubes

I like it, it's what I would consider mild. I haven't had many Irish whiskeys, but some of that stuff tastes like you're eating a bale of peat moss, yuck.
I have been looking at their whiskeys for several years. I even asked on here about their Bourbon, and nobody had apparently tried it.
We were at Costco a couple weeks ago, and I had decided to buy a bottle. Well they were out of the bigger(1.75L) bottles of the Kirkland Bourbon. They had some smaller bottles of Kirkland "Small Batch", which I almost bought, but it was a bit spendy for a first time try. I spotted the Irish whiskey, so bought that. Bourbon next time.0 -
Sauvignon blanc. 0 -

Toad... She's working when she's not sleeping... Hard for her to find time to do anything anymore. I'm trying my best to get her to take retirement in July. So she's not gone with me to shoot for a while.

When the McKenna 10 was picked as Best in Show-Whiskey back in March, it became difficult to find around here, but I had a friend in the business so I got four bottles. I shared one of them with a group of buds this fall. We all liked it but none of us could see how it was named Best in Showretroxler58 wrote:Me... 10 year old Henry McKenna bottled in bond and it's damn good too.

The wife is fussing over the Christmas tree, and I'm watching Eli Manning's swan song against Miami while drinking Jamesons Cask Mate. The whiskey is aged in old Stout barrels. 0 -
The only thing better than a little shine is a lot of shine! 0 -
Korbel, dry brandy Manhatton, dirty, on the rocks, with garlic stuffed olives. 0 -
I thought the Bulliet regular was good but Michters is better for me 0 -
At the last VRBO I rented, somebody left a half bottle of Bulleit Rye in the fridge. I poured some, and then tossed it. The next people found that same bottle in the fridge.
This evening, I'm sipping a tumbler of Beefeaters with a shake of bitters.0 -
Vodka and tonic. I was given a bottle of American Harvest vodka. It's not bad. 0
