Got a hair cut yesterday...
This year has been crazy... Never able to find the time to get things done.
So I took a half day off and scheduled a haircut.
Now unlike my life-long buddy who goes the barber shop to get his mop trimmed twice a month...
I go to the same hair stylist I've seen for near on 40 years. I'm a child of the seventies when hair was EVERYTHING!
In high-school I had girls telling me they wished their hair was as good as mine...
When it gets a bit long it gets wavy and it's fairly fine.
A bit vain I know, but back then I took a lot more care of my hair.
Now... I get it cut short as is possible without being a crewcut (shiver)...
And I go about 6 weeks until it gets long enough that it begins to irritate me.
So the week before I was scheduled to take my PE exam, I tried to get in and get a haircut.
No can do... So it took another 8 weeks to finally find the time.
And by then, it was so looonng that even the wife was beginning to wonder... WTH!?
So I go in yesterday, and immediately my hair-cutter (she's not a barber but I refuse to call her a stylist) says damn Robert, you're hair is looonng. (Yeah I know... tell me something we both don't know).
Then the other girl turned and commented..., "You look just like Santa."
Then they both started about me getting some holiday gig playing Santa...
Wouldn't let off of this at all. All I could do was play it off and laugh.
Maybe my hair is white and maybe my beard is white and yeah... maybe I'm a hell'uva lot rounder than I used to be...
But I ain't SANTA dammit.

I get a hair cut about every 3 months or thereabouts.
Most places charge an arm and a leg for a haircut that takes them all of 10 - 15 minutes.
Found a place that a haircut is $11 and leave a $2 tip.
Just walk in and longest had to wait was 15 minutes. No waiting if make an on-llne appointment but never bothered to do that. If I'm close by, have time just stop in.0 -
A good set of Wahl cutters with a #1 blade every few weeks, with the wife helping to clean it up takes care of it... Probably bought $1,000 bucks worth of guns and ammo with the savings..

Did the same thing about 15 years ago.
#2 all over, trim the edges and away you go.
I spend about 5 minutes every Saturday morning. 3,000 plus haircuts, out of pocket is now less than $ 0.01 each.0 -
