Sig 229 DAK
I?ve been reading up on DAK style action and still not sure I understand it.
There?s a double strike capability? I gather the long trigger pull is the actual safety?
Homeland Security is carrying this style pistol?

The full trigger pull is actually lighter than the trigger pull from reset. The system is supposed to be a smoother DAO. There are a ton of LE trade in DAK pistols out there at a good price, especially in .40. I recently picked up a 229 Legion, but it;s standard DA/SA with a decocker. 0 -
Double action only and it's pretty smooth. The Coasties got them a few years back and we used to keep one at the range just for them. 0 -
No thumb safety, no grip safety, no bifurcated trigger safety. It would take some getting used to. 0 -
Yup, like a revolver with a magazine but no cylinder. 0
