That is why you NEVER eat at Taco Bell. (Or ANY other Fast Food Restaurant.)

I get my food at the drive through/drive in, and leave.

I would much rather eat my food at home, in privacy. Adding condiments as I wish, in Privacy, not wishing to bump shoulders with Idiots.

Like my dad used to say:
Some people ain't had no raisin'.
My mom would have mashed my mouth, no matter my age.

    He's got a running nose.

    What should he have done?

I've spent too much time in airplanes with people hacking and coughing to get worked up over such things.

So long as he was using a handkerchief and not launching it across the room, I do not see the big deal.

I feel your pain. It seems like people today have very few manners.

I got invited to eat lunch with a 2 star general one time. When he finished eating he combed his hair at the table :o I wanted to get up and leave.

I think you are lucky to not end up in some sort of fight these days. I worry about the people that work there and other "fast food" places with no tips or benefits - I mean how smart are they - do they wash their hands.

Grocery stores have quick stuff and they likely have less turnover in staff. I don't do gas station "food" either.

Not as bad as my pet peave: I hate the people who sit their kid on the counter at fast food places when they order their food. Thank you, no, I don't want to pick up my food from the counter where your kid with a poopy diaper has been sitting.

But, I finally figured out to politely deal with that situation. I yell, "manager! manager!". When the manager comes out, I ask him to disinfect the counter. That usually embarrasses the offender.

Very few people today are capable of being embarrassed. That's the whole problem,...a whole class of low life pigs that don't give a rats azz what anyone thinks of their actions.

Pretty much, what I was thinking.

The slob factor can get pretty high in some places.

You talked about the dingbat sitting their kid on the counter (and wanting to sue the restaurant when their kid falls off)

But how about the genius that decides to change their kid's diaper- ON THE TABLE IN THE DINING ROOM?

Get up and go to the restroom, wiping or "dabbing" your nose is one thing but if you have ever heard some people blow their nose you would lose any appetite you may have had so the correct thing to do is excuse yourself and go to the restroom!

I'm a nose blower at the table. Hot in temperature like a bowl of noodles makes my nose run. Now if I got up to use the can everytime I had to blow my nose the table would've been cleared by the time I got back.

Personally coughing bothers me more than snot blowing. I've noticed folks at shops sidling up next to me and start hacking even though there are other registers open. I know understand why Japos in Japan wear face mask away from home. I wonder if they could be had with personal prints on them like "GET THE F*** AWAY" or a red biohazard insignia on the patch.
