Milk
I really like milk. When I get hungry but I don't want to make a sandwich or cook I sometimes drink a glass or 2 of milk. I even make Chocolate Milk with Quick.
I am almost 60 and I have been drinking milk all my life. My wife will not touch milk and thinks its funny I still drink it.
Some of the best milk I ever drank was in the Army. The mess hall had those milk machines and the milk was ice cold. When I was deployed we drank shelf stable milk, its not as good but its ok.
Anyone here still drink milk?

What else would you put on your breakfast cereal? 0 -

Just recently bought my first box of cereal, (Raisin Bran.) In probably 20 years +. Consequently, bought my first 1/2 gal. of milk, in about the same time frame. Have yet to bust it out.
I buy 1/2 and 1/2 to cook with.
Beyond that, it is Yogurt or Cheese, for Dairy products.0 -

Gave up eating boxed breakfast cereal a long time ago. I do however still buy Chex cereal in Rice, Corn, and Wheat to make Chex mix during the holidays. A great seasoned salty snack with cashews. When I know the grandkids are coming, I have Rice Crispys around to make those treats with marshmallows.0 -
I forgot to mention I drink a lot of cultured buttermilk. Posted about it some time ago. 0 -
Went to town to the grocery store. There is a McDonalds close by so I went through the drive through and ordered a Milkshake.
A Medium Milk Shake cost $3.45
That is the last one for me.0 -
I used to drink alot of milk growing up but now only from time to time and only on breakfast cereal.
I only use 2% milk.
Never could stomach soured milk like buttermilk or yougert....nor that artificial stuff called almond milk.0 -
Grew up on fresh cow's milk, had to squeeze it myself. Yum, yum, nothing like warm corn bread and milk and fresh mater sammichs along with a ice cold glass of milk. 0 -
used to put a teaspoon or so of vanilla extract in glass of milk for the grandkids, was about the only way to get em to drink milk, sort of got hooked on it myself and I have a glass every day or so myself........ 0 -
I have a glass of 2% milk almost every evening.
Usually with a couple Claussen Kosher Dill Pickles.0 -
Can?t drink it. It?ll give me the screaming cheeta wheelies. A little bit of cheese or ice cream won?t do much. A glass of milk will have me with explosive diarrhea for hours afterwards.

Don, when is the baby due? 0 -
I have gone thru a gallon of whole milk, myself, every few days, my whole life. This summer I started buying half gallons and slowed down. I lost around fifteen lbs. for some reason. 0 -
If you don?t drink milk, what do you run to Walmart and buy when the snowstorm?s coming? 0 -

When I was just a tadpole mom started buying milk from the neighbor down the road. Got it in a big mouth gallon glass jar with about half inch or more of cream on top.
She just knew us kids wouldn't drink it so she got four or five cans of Quick. We musta' been five years usin' up all that Quick. At less than half the price per gallon she was still spending as mush she did on store bought.0 -
I lost the taste for milk at around age 25. I never cared much for breakfast cereals of any kind, so milk no longer appeals to me. If someone put a slice of cake in front of me along with a glass of milk I'd drink it, but given an choice I'd ask for hot tea. 0 -
I go through about a gallon a week but being diabetic I use the no sugar added Quick,,, it is pretty good.. 0 -
Yup, but skim for years now, and I don't drink it like I used to. 0 -
I'm 63 I buy a gallon of 2% every other day wife won't drink it 0 -
That Quik seems better than a few years back when it didn't mix with milk but still takes too much to get a decent glass. The stuff from the 60s or 70s was way better 0 -
I'm finishing a glass of 2% right now after having my "2" cookies. It's also a great cure for acid re-flux. I go through a gallon or more a week & keep a box of Parmalat in the pantry for emergencies. 0 -
I drink 1 gallon 2% and one gallon chocolate every week by my self . also keep a container of nestles quick on hand
some times 2 gallons of 2% a week depending on what we cook and if I am eating cereal ( off and on )
raisin bran and capt crunch
amazing how cheap it is currently . I do feel for the dairy farmers ( one down the road from us )
as a kid it was a tough commodity to have . the milk man did door to door sales , I remember we would get a 1/2 gallon sometimes, and we always begged mom for a 1/2 gallon of chocolate milk but it was real rare to get it .
I also remember mixing can milk (cream or evaporated milk depending on what you call it ) with water when we had cereal to eat and no milk
oh the milk man ran over my dog when I was about 7 years old .. he actually brought his own dog over he felt so bad . but mom and dad said no keep your pet0 -
Have always been a milk drinker. Pretty much lived on it alone as a kid. Decades later, I thought I was becoming lactose intolerant when we signed up for a local dairy's home delivery service and the problem abruptly went away. Turns out, I was reacting to the residual growth hormones in the other brand of milk. The delivery brand is hormone free. Now, that's the only brand I can drink without the stomach cramps, gas, and whoopsies. (If you get those, search out some hormone-free milk and try it. You never know...)
I go through a half gallon of 2% a week, love buttermilk and yoghurt. Cheese goes without saying. No chocolate milk at all.
I'm the only cold cereal eater here. I alternate between Cheerios and Chex, and I like them mixed together, too. I always add a heaping scoop of Grape Nuts to a bowl for extra fiber. I do the same with my breakfast yoghurt for added crunch.0 -
It used to bug me that the price was so much cheaper if you bought two gallons at a time but at least they have stopped that. One gallon will go bad before I finish it & most stores charge too much more for smaller bottles. You can make it last longer if you put some in the freezer so I freeze half & then thaw it out when I have almost finished the other half. 0
