    Many years ago....my wife said, "Our daughter called and said they have no food in the house. MY GRAND KIDS AIN'T GONNA STARVE! I'm transferrin a $1000 to her account!"

    "Git your butt in the truck, now!" I yelled. "We goin grocery shopping then we gonna drive 2 hours to deliver em!"

    She must have told me 100 times since then that I made the right choice.
    Probably the only time in my life I have been right about anything.

    I would visit my grandmother every-other Sunday. She lived a fair distance away, and while it would have been easier to have ridden one of my motorcycles, I always took my car because I'd leave her house with enough food to fill my trunk.

    I miss her so much.

    I never knew either of my grandmas. I am envious of those who did(do).

    When I was a youngster I rode my bicycle from Glen Allen, Henrico County, Va. to Mineral, Louisa County, Va.( 43 miles) just to visit my Grandma. Couple of dogs on the way tried to chew me up but I pedaled faster than they could run. Grandmas are great.
