What country used a large ring Mauser rifle with the parts marked with a star?

  A 12 pointed star in a circle would point to Chinese origins under Chiang Kai Shek, whereas a 6 point Star of David would be Israeli.
  5 point star proof marks could be any nation. Pictures would help.
