Suspenders
I went from always wearing a belt to suspenders about 3 years ago and never looked back! I hate tight waist pants and loosening up a bit has added comfort in all positions. Anyone else prefer them?

I use the plastic hoop Suspenders that just slip under the belt and no tears or breaking like the majority and about 10 bucks at wallmart 0 -
Which shirt will work with suspenders? I know tee-shirts an dress shirts but polo/golf shirts? I know Hawaiian shirts won't unless you wear it under the shirt.
Now me I've been wanting those jeans with built in suspenders that old timey farmers wore. Since I recently picked up one of those Mexican straw hat with a wide ass brim (not the Poncho Villa "sombrero" but kind a) so I'll look the part when I'm Q-ing on the ranch.0 -
Wore them for about a year after neck surgery ( I lost a bunch of weight ), didn't want to buy all new pants Didn't mind them other than thinking about what might happen during an 'emergency" bath room break :oops: If you know what I mean. :roll:
Have since gone back to a belt only, although I've gone to a "slide belt". Good product, I don't have to worry about belt holes being in the right spot.0 -

I've worn suspenders under pull-over shirts. Works just fine.
Suspenders are a great help when carrying a heavy gun in a belt-holster.
I sometimes wear an IWB holster on a belt under my pull-on shorts.0 -

Suspenders and belt here, work or pleasure, built like a tater and the suspenders that hook over the belt are best ever.
Belt alone will not prevent the so called "plumber's crack".
Went to lunch today and a lady in line pulled her pants up but first she pulled them down a bit to get a run-a-go. She needed suspenders bad.0 -
Half a century ago and counting, I had a girlfriend who pronounced them "suppenders" and I could never get her to include the medial "s".
Funny this topic should come up: I was going through my closet the other day and came across four sets of braces hanging there amongst the belts. Thought to myself "I need to wear those again." Then I found a set of silk dress suspenders in a drawer. Some of them require buttons on the pants, some have metal clips, but none of them have loop ends that work with a belt. Have 'em at Wally's place, you say? Hmmmmm.
I'm still at my summer weight and lots of my pants are sized for my winter largeness. Until I bulk up for winter again, maybe I'll break out those s'penders.0 -

Been wearing suspenders for years. Heavy duty type. As sold by Ace and Home Depot, for carpenters and roofers. Attach them to my belt. As I wear Carhart 7 pocket pants. With EDC, extra 14 round mag, Gerber folding knife, 2 set of keys with leatherman combo tool , phone etc. If not for the suspenders, my pants would be down around my ankles. Causing all the geezers, to be calling the cops on me for flashing. 0 -
I have worn them off and on over the years. I have been wearing the side ones the last month. They seem to be more comfortable in most ways. Wearing a nail apron that keeps pulling your pants down got old taking the nail apron off and pulling the pants up. Since it's chilly I will wear my old suspenders attached to the nail apron, I can't keep it tight enough to not slide down on my Carharts. 0 -
If I'm not wearing overalls I wear them when I'm hunting, building, or working outside and when wearing a suit. I don't wear them when I'm just running around in jeans and a shirt. I wear overalls a lot though. 0 -

I think in the last twenty years I've worn pants a dozen times (weddings and funerals). Few things are more comfortable than a loose-fitting pair of Bib overalls, plenty of room for the boys.0 -

Been wearing the big wide blue work ones that Walmart sells forever. Find that not wearing a belt helps chronic low back pain somewhat. When they passed out the butts, I got left out. I won't wear the big red wide suspenders. Too many folks want to know where the fire is.
Grandpa was a saw miller in Central Virginia. No one could cut timber down there in the summer with a belt on. Bib overhauls, the only way to go.0 -
I wear them, bought a pair that hook under the belt. They work great, but tend to fall off when you drop your pants. If you are in a public stall it can get challenging trying to get your pants up and the back hook reattached. 0 -
Got a pair if wide black suspenders some 10 years ago.
Never work them, just hanging in the closet where they were put 10 years ago.0 -
So what do you hang your holster on if you wear shoulder straps? Personally I like belts. 0
