What is your favorite Thanksgiving food
Mine is always the cornbread dressing and/or stuffing... with gravy. What about you?

Some how I don't think the domino's pizza (double pepperoni - heavy extra sauce - well done) and the Turkey shaped scratch baked chocolate chip cookies washed down with asahi super dry pale lives up to the spirit of your question...
But...
Well done crispy and starting to brown home made French fries and chips made from high quality giant baking potato's - with plenty of sea salt and hunts no HFC thick ketchup (refrigerated) would be my number one...

Personally the last couple/three years, it has been the cold (on ice) large trays of Cocktail shrimp with spicy Cocktail sauce. I try not to make an obvious pig of myself.
I'm not sure why, because yesterday there was about 1/2 a large tray left. I declined taking any food home.
I've got so much food in the fridge, some will go bad before I get to it.
I'd sure like some of those shrimp right about now though. Good thing I've got two bags in the freezer.0 -

Couple years ago, we started cooking a nice prime rib roast instead of turkey or ham.
I?ve never been a fan of the usual spread. Huge fan of prime rib.
And we just made a couple baked taters to go with it. Maybe a nice homemade loaf of bread.
Yesterday, the wife unit went all out/over board with a traditional meal.
Not one of us, (three daughters and myself) complained. But hardly anything was touched.
She who shall be obeyed seemed a little put out, and I felt bad.
I?m in charge of cooking the Christmas prime rib roast.0 -

I make mine with Sausage, Onions and Mushrooms in it. I have been wanting to make it with oysters but nobody else likes them.0 -

I made ours with sausage yesterday, (two 9x12 dishes...), Sam, and I've thought about using oysters, but never have. Tried it with shrimp a few times, but prefer the non-seafood stuff so far.

To be more specific, Vodka made from potatoes.
Gluten-free and no carbs and very, very healthy when mixed with a little orange juice.
Most importantly, it takes away the pain.
As a matter of fact I'm going right now to have a large glass of left-overs.0 -

My late grandmothers pumpkin pie, mincemeat pie, and her rice pudding. It has been 40 years since I've had any but I can still remember all of the different tastes, smells, and flavors. 0 -

Doctor told me to start thinking about a more "plant based" diet!

Truthfully, my deep fried turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, cranberry relish, and my wifes cornbread dressing with cherries and sausage is the perfect meal for me!
Top it off with some home made warm Pecan pie with some whipped cream or ice cream, and I'm in heaven.0 -
