That's the neat thing about retirement - It can be any day I want it to be. Everyday has turned into the weekend. :D Bob

Dude - you posted that Snit on Monday. WTH? :o

(But) I will agree with you. It has been a very long last 7 days, and an even longer last couple months. I woke up for good at 12:30. Finally gave up and got out of bed at 2:30am.

    I hear that.

I salute those who have earned their retirement and reached the point were work becomes if and when you desire not a must do going for survival of you and yours...

My intractable pain runs in cycles and since Friday it's been particularly bad - I go two days with out sleep - collapse finally for a few hours and now we are working towards another two or three day ordeal...

So I too am awake and unable to sleep.

I have been cutting back on pain meds dramatically - I have learned to live with and cope with bad pain - I prefer that to being heavily medicated...

    But when it's bad...

Remember in highschool directing frogs - and running electrical current through the rear leg muscles and watching them convulse and contract???

When it's bad the neuropathy is like 220 current applied to me calf muscles - and the legs below the knee jerk around when the bolts of pain lighting occur...

Not having control over your legs is not fun.

So I took a 20 time release perc and 15 of Roxy to take the edge off so I stop spasming - with the hope of sleep - maybe by dawn...

And don't try and snowball us most of you retired folks are as busy and occupied and some working folk - and if today was Friday we all missed out on turkey and fixins...

You can't skip holidays - not the food heavy ones - can't just pass them over...

And I can't miss Thursday - I am spending the day with the kids in the pediatric oncology ward and we are baking cookies shaped like turkeys decorated with colored icing - and they have a soft ice cream dispensing machine - and the Charlie Brown special will be on...

You can bee in a Friday state of mind most days but don't overlook the holidays.
