That sounds really good. You left out when to add the almonds and cranberries, but I presume it's at the end with the parsley and mint. (I'll leave out that *#@&! Ivory soap cilantro)

Likely she also avoids asparagus, right?

She likes asparagus and just about any Veggie. She is just about a Vegitarian but will eat fish and chicken occasionally.

I think her favorite food is beets. I cook them for at least 3 times a week and I am talking about fresh beets. I get them by the case at the farmers market.

She likes shrimp, crabs and oysters too.

Cilantro she says tastes like soap

I don't get it, it tastes like cilantro to me :D

It's in the genes. A particular one makes cilantro taste like soap, and I thought it was the same one that makes you detect that strong odor in asparagus pee. (The odor is there for everybody, but folks without that gene can't smell it.) I might be wrong about it being the same gene, but if it isn't my wife and I both have both of the ones that do. We both decline cilantro and asparagus.

Of all of the sweet potato recipes I have tried, my favorite is in the form of sweet potato French fries made at home! Oh so simple with no other added stuff except salt and good cooking oil and soooooo goooooood! :P

Judy and I simply bake them just like any other spud. A local restaurant serves sweet potato nachos. Thin waffle cut sweet potato slices deep fried and with shredded beef or chicken and all the usual nacho fixins.

I grew up with the typical brown sugar, marshmallow topped sweet potato casserole served every Thanksgiving and Christmas. Didn't like them fixed that way then and still don't. Now sweet potato pie is another thing altogether. I prefer that over pumpkin every time. Bob

    Bob

I like them baked too with butter and cinnamon.

I made french fries with them 20 years ago when I was into frying turkeys and I liked them.
