Seems to me that if you're looking for a S&W 10mm revolver you better look at this one. The next cheapest ones are mid 700's....

No feedback as a seller. 4 negative out of 31 feedback as a buyer. 10 so so photos and zero description. Yes, the price is right and the gun appears to be OK. I would love a 10MM revolver but I see some red flags. 0 -
Nice pistol at a good price. I guess i just don't see the point. You can get a more powerful revolver that takes cheaper ammo. If a man already shoots 10mm and wants a revolver I guess it might make sense. Not for me, but for those that want one it's priced right. 0 -

I am a fanatical collector of 10mm handguns. That said, as Scout said, I kind of agree that if you move into revolvers, then you've largely moved out of the 10mm auto's claim to fame. In my mind anyway, the 10mm was, and is (when loaded to true 10mm levels) a magnum level cartridge designed to be fired in semi-automatic pistols. Sure, there's a few semi-auto magnums such as the Desert Eagle, LAR Grizzly, Coonan, etc. But, those were designed to shoot existing rimmed magnums and by necessity have a large grip circumference.
Though I probably never would shoot it if I bought it, that is a great price on one. Probably worth taking the risk on a new seller.
*edit*. I just did go ahead and give it a shot. It is worth at least twice that. It could simply be something happened and need to sell a few items quickly. I sold my original Bren Ten SM years ago when I hurt my back and was down for a year unable to work until I had rehab'd after surgery. I had to pay bills still so I trickled out some of my collection as needed. I bought that Bren Ten SM for ~$800 and sold it for ~$1,200 just a few years later and thought I did well. They now go for $3,500+ for the SM and $5k+ for MP, SFL, and SFD.

Pretty good since if you already shoot 10mm. Here in Indiana that is a legal cartridge for deer. So without adding extra ammo it would be a good sidearm. Enjoy, it should be accurate.0 -

Thanks all. It will be in good company with my many other 10mm's. You know, the ones I had prior to the boating accident.
This will be my 3rd revolver. Ironically, with all the talk of how reliable revolvers are, my current two are both broken. I have a N.A.A. .22lr Mini-revolver with a broken main spring and a Taurus 38 special (do I need to say more really?) that is out of time and gets light, offset primer strikes only when fired D/A mode. It shaves lead so not safe to shoot and since it was made in Brazil, they basically said F-U so I did as well. I inherited it so I am not going to sell it. I guess it will be a conversation piece.0 -
I'm glad you bought it Mike. I've been really jones'n for one of those. Get a finish reamer from Dave Manson and make it a full blown 10mm mag... If I didn't drop $1600 last weekend on a few other S&W's that I wante, er', needed, it would have never made it to the forum... 0 -

Why I picked up mines was for the reasons I have semis that share rounds and the 610 will shoot .40S&W. Also I didn't want to buy a new cartridge.
As for the right price? To me that's past. It's a sellers market now. Say S&W basically makes M&P and not much else to semis, right? I never thought used 3rd gen S&W semis would be trading in $1K+ and I reckon in 10 years they'll be in the $2K range.0 -

You are right on the rising costs of a 3rd gen 10mm. They just keep going up and up. It makes some sense though as they are among the strongest 10mm's made. I was able to collect all 6 models (1006, 1026 VA Police, 1046, 1066, 1076 FBI, 1086) before the price went too high.
I don't have any need for .40 S&W, particularly in a revolver (since I wouldn't lose the brass like I sometimes do with a semi). I reload so can load up or down as needed. I have been known back in my prepping for SHTF scenarios to test .40 in my G20 and it did fine.
I sent the M.O. out for that 10mm this morning. I hope to have it the week after Thanksgiving.0
