    Tenure is an outdated and unneeded philosophy at this point. This will ruffle some feathers, but to me, it's kind of like unions. They were absolutely essential when they started here in the US. They instigated a good many changes that are now commonplace in the workplace. But, with few exceptions, have become a weight on American business. Before anyone asks, yes, I was in a union for 6 years. I was even chief steward for part of that.
