56 Years Ago...
56 years ago today, I was in Mrs. Wiggins' 5th grade class at William Lipscomb Elementary School in Dallas.
It was a light attendance day, since many of my fellow students were kept out of class so they could go downtown and watch the motorcade.
Sometime not long after lunch, there was an announcement that President Kennedy had been shot.
Maybe an hour later came the announcement he had died.
It was not a good day.

I was returning from Stewart Air Force base after dropping off a LTG. I entered Washington Gate at West Point and the MP stopped me and told me the president has been shot. Called my wife, the Dean's secretary and she was crying. It was not a good day. 0 -
They brought a television into the classroom so we could watch the news.

I was only 6 years old . I seem to barley remember it and the TV and people talking about it . I was too young to really understand .
I did work with a fellow maybe 20 (?) years or so ago who belonged to some "club /group " that focused on the whole incident and they would meet in Dallas each year . if he sill alive and if the group is still together . I would guess the internet has saved a lot of travel time for the group
to share ideas and theories .

I remember that day. My older sisters came home from school crying.
So why are there still secret files? Can't be to protect the innocent or even the guilty as they are all likely dead from old age - must be to protect the corruption better known today as the SWAMP/NWO.0 -
I remember the day quite vividly, being only a 7 year old 2nd grader. Another teacher in a class next to my homeroom came in the doorway crying. She walked up to my teacher and whispered into her ear and they both were crying!
Within the next few minutes our principal rolled a high tower mounted TV set into the classroom and we all watched what had happened and what was going on in Dallas in real time. Walter Cronkite was reporting. My first thoughts on hearing the news "The President had been shot", the first thing that came into my head was, "President?? Which one?" At that time I did not comprehend that there was a acting President. I knew our country had several of them. Truman, IKE, and Kennedy. Pretty smart kid I guess! Even for a dumbass! :oops:0 -
Remember it too well. I was home from school because I had a really bad cold. Usually TV would never be on during day. I was lying on couch and my mother turned on TV to see noon news. Walter Cronkite was on and watched the news go from being shot to pronouncing him dead. Cronkite was visually shaken by the news and first time I saw a broadcaster look like they were going to cry.
My first thought was are we being attacked by a foreign country.
We had many drills at school in case of nuclear attack. We lived just outside a SAC base loaded with B52?s that carried nuclear weapons so we were concerned about a nuclear war and that the SAC base would be a target.0 -
I was in Jr. High and come home for dinner as we lived close to the school. Mom was on the couch crying and I asked her what was wrong, she just pointed to the TV. I'm not sure I even ate dinner that day. When I went back to school a lot of the girls were crying, other than that there wasn't much else that went on that day in school.
Sunday Dad and I were watching the news as they were bringing Oswalt out when Ruby came out of the crowd and shot Oswalt. That was the only time I ever saw a murder happen on live TV. That must have been the impetus to have delayed coverage of live events thereafter.0 -

I was an 8th grader at Cross Keys High School in Atlanta. I was coming in from gym class, and a kid told me that Kennedy had been shot.
I went back to the classroom and I remember my English teacher was crying. Very sad day.0 -

I was a freshman in college (Southern State College in Magnolia, Arkansas) and returned to my Dorm after one of my Engineering classes and there was a large group of students standing around in the lounge, very unusual. I asked what was going on and that is when I learned what happened. 0 -

If you were alive that day and over 5 years old then more than likely you remember it well. The Camelot of America died that day for America. None dare call it a conspiracy?

I was a freshman at Carter High School in Knox County Tennessee and I was not at school that day. I was at my grandpa's restaurant and someone came in and told us the president had been shot. I went outside to where my dad's '60 Thunderbird was parked and turned on the radio to listen to the news. 0 -

Eight years old and in third grade . Principal announced it over the intercom . They set up TVs in the auditorium for us to watch the funeral . Can still remember just exactly where I was sitting at during the funeral . Watched Oswald get shot on tv with my Father. 0 -
I was 2 years, 4 mo. Old.
It was indeed when America lost it's way. (And) Big Government began to think they could lie about pretty much ANYTHING to the american Public. (IMHO.)
