Thanks Joe! Doesn't look like anybody's steppin' up to the plate to fill those mighty big shoes.........0 -
Country music has gone the way of most extinct entertainment....black and white movies, Crooners, and Elvis....Nashville has moved into a near "Rap" phenom...The boys with the baseball caps and tight jeans are the music moguls....Flatt and Scruggs, blue grass, and Western Swing or all history...Eddie Arnold, George Strait are past icons... 0 -
Joe, probably nobody. When Hank died my grandmother in Louisa Co. Va. had my Uncle Jack take all of Hank's sheet music and pictures after a while and bury them in a big hole between two rows of corn. Nobody knows for sure why she had Uncle Jack do this. I guess it was her way of grieving.
I burn up I81 quite often going to my 2nd home in Fluvanna Co. Va. On the way back to NY each trip at Winchester I slide Patsy's CD's in. When they are finished I always say I will be back next time to stay Patsy. Now, I am just not sure any more. Virginia is a BLUE state now.0 -
Sturgill Simpson, Tyler Childers, Jason Isbell, Jamie Johnson, and Cody Jinks. 0 -

Even though there is no one who can come close to those now gone artists, we are at least blessed to have their recordings to fall back on! 0 -
Joe, it's not just the C&R musicians, it's much more than that. Young folks don't appreciate what we had and want to change everything. Maybe someday they will realize what they helped this country become. Too late, I fear. 0 -
Country Rap will try to fill their shoes. It is garbage, but, they make a lot of money. 0
