    I'll bet he was not hit by a car - he was hit by the rut.

    Go out in the yard and rattle antlers (chop kindling?) Walk bent over and wear a brown jacket. Grunt and snort (works better with a call) and keep your camera ready (or rifle).

    If you don't take your rifle make sure someone videos from the kitchen window so we can witness "the breeding".

    Wow that deer kicked that guys ass :o

    I have my camera ready in my sunroom. I hope he comes back so I can some pics because he was beautiful.

    As far as the rut he was full on in rut. Grunting and stomping his foot. His neck was swollen up.

    If he had come close to me I would have shot him to pieces with my USP 45 ;) hunting lic or no, I can guarandamntee that partner.

    I got this Jackalope on my game cam in our backyard yesterday. You don't see'em this big very often anymore.

    As someone mentioned it's the RUT. I've witnessed some really strange activities from bucks during "the season".
