sorry to hear about the job, but now may be a good time to apply/enroll with your local VA. if approved the medical insurance alone will make the having to take a lesser paying job easier to handle, plus all your health issues heart, cpap, ect should be covered. wishing you the best..

You are apparently reading my mind. I have never gone to the VA for anything, since getting out in 1984. I believe it is time to enroll.

Agreed with zero income you are a shoe in, I think the cap is 35K or so. After you get re employed they will try to cancel you but you may be able to stay in the system agreeing to pay Co Pays 0
