Advice on Repair. (Dog Trolley) Fixed/Finally -
I have a pretty beefy set up in the front yard. 100' of 1/4-3/8th Stainless Steel cable covered in Nylon.
The cable itself is in very good condition. However the far end has had the Nylon cover deteriorate due to UV, etc. It has about 3-4' of exposed cable (in portions.) Not all 4'. (Currently.) Buddy's pulley will allow the slimmer cable, or the smaller pieces without the Nylon cover to enter the sides of the Pulley wheel against the housing. Jamming the pulley.
Any way to add dimension/recover the cable to an equal diameter? I'd rather not have to buy an entire new cable. $100-$120 or so. Obviously will, if there is no way to address it.
Any thoughts on how I can address/fix this without having to buy a new cable?
Thanks in advance.

Good job. Bet Buddy likes having the full length of run back.He had full run the entire time. He would occasionally get stuck. I'd look out, and he'd just be sitting there patiently. When I freed it up yesterday, and part of the pulley wheel broke, I had to deal with it. He was just pissed I didn't take him to the hardware store with me. (I should have.) He absolutely LOVES going for a "ride." I hit the grocery store on the way back.
