    I read the article. California did not outlaw HAM radios. What they did do may be debated and perhaps they shouldn't do it, but they did not outlaw HAM radios. They did make a rule saying no more repeaters on public land without paying rent. Perhaps that is a bad thing, but it should be discussed in the contexts of what it is and not what it isn't.

    That article is a little alarmist but I have to agree a Ham Radio is harmless. The repeaters are there why take them down or make them unusable to HAM radio operators.

    Anyone living in CA at this point in time is doing so at their own risk.
