selling on GB
It's been a longtime since I sold any guns on GB, now with VA most assuredly going to ban "AW"s I'm considering thinning the herd. Local sales don't bring what GB brings in prices. It looks like GB has changed alot in how you set up auctions. Can a private party still ship pistols and long guns directly to a receiving FFL by UPS or Fed Ex? Or do I have to use a FFL to ship a pistol to another FFL by private carrier?

I think you're giving up too quickly, Shilowar.
Let things get hashed out in the courts before you start selling your collection.
There may be grandfather clauses for those that already own SA's.0 -

'long' guns can be shipped usps by anyone as long as they are going to a ffl, handguns must (should
) be shipped by a ffl OR usp/fedex0 -
First, be sure that the dealer you are shipping your firearms to will accept shipments from unlicensed persons. Some FFLs insist in dealer-dealer. There isn't a federal regulation that requires it, but you are playing by that dealer's rules.

Yeah I know it's quite expensive, I'll just factor that into my reserve. Fortunately some of my stuff has recently gone up in the market due to lack of supply.....0 -

There will be no grandfathering, the left has complete control of the next session, they will enact NY/CA style safe acts etc with registration, AR pistol ban, mag limits, end private sales, restrict concealed carry, etc....they've been salivating for this moment for many years now. They want to make an example of a once red state turning blue, and the overnight transformation that they foresee for America. I live West of that line....99% of the state is Red, but we are dominated by 3-4 populous leftist counties around DC(the Swamp).0 -

We deal with the same thing out here in Oregone. 6 liberal counties control the whole state. So far we've managed to hang on to our SA's, large cap mags, etc.

Speaking from experience, when CA banned certain rifles or required registration I found putting them up for sale in state worked best. Want to sell an old CAI HK 91 type for about $1,800.00? Put it up for sale in state just before the axe falls. Just keep in mind, if it doesn't sell in state that when you try to sell it at a neighboring state - they know you're desperate and price accordingly. 0 -

Unfortunately this is their road map virtually everywhere that is conservative. I suspect Trump will be the last R president, either this term or the next. 0 -

Thanks, that is very generous..however I've devised a short term (atleast a year)solution to store what I don't end up selling out of state...I'm only 45 minutes from one border with a state with much better firearms laws. The Dems plans are to completely out law semi auto rifles that have a detachable mag, make possession all mags above 7 rounds a felony, and they are making one possession law retro active, they are planning to give AW owners until July 1 to move their guns out of state, unless they purchased it after Nov 1, 2019, those are immediately illegal(so anyone that buys due to a panic of the election is not give a grace period....tell me they aren't being malicious). Right now there are eight proposed bills, including a Red Flag law, and elimination of private sales. There are several gun shops that will be hit hard....no suppressors, no range rentals of AWs etc....so no class III dealers....it's going to be devastating. Below is one of the proposed laws, already filed....
I've got a buddy that has his second suppressor on order...so what the hell does he do? Just lose that money? What does he do with his current can?0 -
I guess with DC in the area, I shouldn't be surprised but I always felt VA was similar to WV. I know on the 2016 elections only OK and WV county's were 100% in R. votes (as in no counties won the D. vote, not that any persons voted D.).
I feel this will be the way of things as time progresses. With now more than 50% of the population living in the city versus rural, it shouldn't come as a surprise that less and less people actively engage in shooting sports. All we can do is take younger generation shooting all we can, support pro-gun officials, and organizations that support our interests; though they don't always represent what we want completely.0 -

It seems that TN is getting bluer every month. The next election could be a major change.
Move another few miles south to Alabama and enjoy it more. Gun laws are great and very few. Open carry without a permit. Buy as many guns as you want and no daily limit.

Enjoy it while you can. It's a virtual certainty that the second amendment will be gone someday,....probably not 'gone' in the lifetime of us old coots here, but you can be sure it will be weakened each and every year, until that time of world peace and harmony comes along.

Have to almost agree. Is it predestined? Green paper money might be gone before we are also. Take a look, sure there are millennials that are doing the right thing in supporting the Constitution and voting accordingly but as pointed look at the maps. Blue is so thick in Illinois in metro areas, it's all it takes to win the state. In Illinois, Cook county and two other counties was the only blue BUT it carried the Demos all the way. And we will have bans, ect. ect before the pig prickster will be gone. Sad, very sad.0
