Dermatolagy Appointment
After my annual check up with my VA doc back in late June, I opted to see a close to home civilian dermatologist for some spots that have been bugging me on my face. A couple near my rt. eye started itching and getting scaly over quite some time. I could have been seen within a few weeks if I'd opted for the VA hospital but it is a long drive in a big city and I hate going there.
Anyway, I went to my appointment yesterday and was not only diagnosed and treated on the spot for those spots, but had my entire body closely scanned and several other spots treated for various forms of basil cell, squamous cell, and precursor cancer skin spots. All done in one visit! Never been seen by a Dermatologist before. This gal was the most efficient doc I have ever been to! Not bad looking neither! I warned her before disrobing that my back looked like the constellation's during winter solstice. Moles that I inherited and that was all I was ever going to get. So. please try and leave me a few!
Anybody ever had liquid nitrogen treatments done on your skin? This morning I looked into the mirror and could have done Halloween without wearing a mask! OH the red boils!

had the VA remove a few on my back month or so ago, they were on my shoulderblade, they now are all healed but look like bullet holes, I tell the grandkids , gramma shot me........... 0 -
I am almost like a Dalmatian myself. My daughter once called them chocolate chips, an AWWWWwwww! moment if ever there was one.
A few years ago, a brand new one appeared. Melanoma - the six months and you're dead kind. They went after that one with a front end loader and I've been free for over two years now. Interesting scar. Except that I've never seen it because it's on the back of my neck.0 -

My wife had two melanoma's growing on the side of her head close to an ear. She had to go to a big University Hospital for removal. Procedures were as described above, with very little flesh so close to her skull took things right down to the bone.
They got it all then stretched the skin over the surgical areas and stitched it tight. Kind of a one sided face lift. She has been cancer free now going on 12 years! Praise The Lord0
