Anyone Remember This...
Somebody posted a picture of a Colt Manufacturing publication or a picture where Colt called out a clip instead of a magazine for their pistols. Maybe it was a picture of a box containing a magazine that had Colt Clip printed on the side of it. I did a search for it but I can't find it.

Remington did that with the Magazine for their 742

Marlin regularly marketed "clips". Magazine and clip are just two of the terms gun know it all's get stuck in their craw, along with pistol and revolver. The fact that pistols were pistols over 300 years before the semi-automatic was even invented means nothing to them. Anyone remember the "30 round banana clip"? 0 -
Found I could not even get one banana in my clip. Got all mooshy and sticky, and started attracting fruit flies. Don't want to even think about trying to squeeze 30 in there. 0 -

Clip, magazine, magazine, clip. Yeah I know the difference and I also know what others mean when they call one or the other by the wrong name. It's really not worth my time to make it a point to correct people on the subject.
And I always thought all revolvers are pistols but not all pistols are revolvers.0
