X-37B Any Ideas?

The Air Force X-37B spaceplane has returned from orbit after almost 2 years. Any ideas about what kind of experiments it has been doing for all this time? Or is it simply being used as a reusable spy satellite? Some kind of precursor to the Presidents space force? What do you think? Bob

    it went to Mars so it could abduct Martians with a tractor beam. that's when scientists discovered Martians don't have any bodily orifices.

    Curiously linked to this platform is a paint like compound that works in a vacuum in zero gravity at near absolute zero - I think originally developed by DuPont.

    My understanding is that when sprayed on camera lenses and solar panels and heat dissipation panels raises hell with orbital devices and platforms...

    If you don't think we have been using them to play dirty and mess with Chinese and Russian sat systems your delusional.

    There has also been talk of small magnetic or adhesive limpet mines being deployed and ready to blow upon remote activation.

    The new aerial defense laser currently deployed on our brand new warships is said to also fit inside this active reusable platform.

    Space force anyone???

    Anyone who believes the craft can zip around from satellite to satellite has absolutely no understanding of orbital mechanics. It is difficult enough to join another satellite in the same orbital plane, much less multiple satellites. And almost impossible to join something in a different plane. Not to mention the fact that the nation owning the other satellite can and would see something approaching theirs and raise holy hell. People do track these things, you know.

    The X-37 does exactly what they say it does: it tests new technologies. The would include sensors and onboard systems as well as things as mundane as lubes and paints. Space is really hard on things.

    Ding! Ding! Ding! We have some winners and a cheater :lol:. And yes Saturday mornings were reserved for cartoons back in the day. A couple of years ago I mentioned to a group of kids that we would meet at the gun club Saturday morning and they were going to miss their cartoons. I got a lot of quizzical looks and they explained about the new fangled things like cable and satellite and wifi making cartoons available 24/7. I did get some sympathy for my cartoon deprived childhood of only 1 day a week. Bob
