I guess it shows, No matter how good shape you are in, genetics catch up to you.

Happened in my case.

I wish the guy well. Was a fan back when I followed MMA. Still a fan after several of his movies. (Expendables, etc.)

His championship comeback was honestly one of the best I had seen. He got humiliated in a couple of bouts then came back to win at age what, 40-42? I was however glad to see him retire and go out near the top of his game as I don't think he (or likely anyone) can keep up with the MMA much after that. Just too many injuries over the years take their toll.

My optometrist used to wrestle at Oklahoma State when Randy was there.

back when the sport was super brutal. Cauliflower ear, busted up twisted nose...total tough guy style. I wonder how much PEDs contributed to that heart attack.
