Cyclone Rake

Anybody else here have one? I've had mine for almost 15 years and it has become indispensable this time of year. Not many leaves down yet but we have a bumper crop of white pine needles. I try to get them up before the leaves fall as I put the chopped up leaves in the garden and too many pine needles can make the soil too acidic. Every year I just mow along letting the cyclone rake fill up with grass and a bazillion pine needles. Forgetting that they pack a lot tighter than the ground up leaves. By the time I remember they are packed so tight that I almost need a shovel to get them out of the hopper. I swear I'll remember next year but never do. That's about the only drawback as about the only time the rakes and leaf blowers get used is to blow off the deck and a couple of feet around the house to get the leaves out where the cyclone can pick them up. What do you guys use to clean up the leaves? Bob

    Have another brand, same concept. We have 4 acres of oak, sweet gum, hickory and poplar. One of the few tools I have bought that worked better than I hoped. Connected to a 40" riding mower, drive across the lawn, leaves behind bare grass. Makes tremendous compost.
