ME LIKEY!!!!
Just got a Webley MK VI revolver in .455 and it has not been converted to .45 acp. This is a big ol girl and her bore is bright and shiny. The big girl is tight too. And she is still very pretty even at her age. I am going in the back and take some photos of this sexy girl. Will post soon. She has the tattoos that the British love so much with all the crowns and numbers but they are tastefully done.

Than add the shoulder stock and think about Rourke's drift.

Mike the Mk VI came out about 7 years after Rourks Drift, In 1879 they would have been using a an issued Beaumont?Adams revolver or some other handgun available for purchase by British Officers like a Webly RIC in 4500 -

I bought a .455 Colt 1911 on the auction side last year. A little rough in places, but as you note, there are numerous British proof and other markings.
It is nice that .455 ammo is still available, and she shoots just fine.
Let us know how your Webley shoots when you get the chance.

I have a Royal Naval Air Service webley-fosbery semiautomatic revolver - a webley metropolitan police - a pair of RIC revolvers - and the Mark VI shaved for .45 acp...
A pair of Mauser zig zags and a .32 acp webley and Scott Lil semi...
I was just poking fun (see the bayonet) at friend Ricci.
And yes I did by a reproduction bayonet.
