    always wondered how many of them they had...get a scene with the car coming down and crumpled up and next scene it was all straight ????? hollywood had to take all of them off the market

    I once read thy had people out searching for cars for the show . leaving notes on some cars to call

    just another fun show from back in the 70's they duke boys were not allowed to have a gun but used dynamite on arrows :shock: :shock: not counting destroyed so much public property and yet were free to party on ..
    and not PC by today's standards just look at daisy's shorts they had to show her in them I think in every show ;) and they lived on a farm but no one was ever seen farming I remember . poor old daisy had to support them with her job at the bores nest :D:D


    but the A-team well thats a whole different kind of BS fun show

    I remember reading once the car crowd was up in arms over the show, they were buying up all the cars they could find for the show to destroy, and the price was through the roof on anything that would even run, just for backups or parts cars.....

    True story, my gun buddy's son had one and they contacted him to sell it. It was in one of the Car Craft mags article. Prime example. When he realized what they were going to do, absolutely no sale. Good for him.

    They tore up a lot of nice cars
    Somewhere between 256 and 321 "General Lee" cars were created and mostly destroyed during the series. Less than 20 in various states of disrepair still exist. Despite popular belief, there were no 1970 Chargers used in the series according to all the car builders.

    I know where one of the original General Lee cars from the Dukes show is in storage. It's only about 15 minutes from my house. I've examined it and looked thru lots of paperwork confirming that it is indeed a tv car. Value is supposedly around 200k.
