I need some info on a scope

    if you can't get actual numbers from a manual, get a clear picture of the reticle and I can figure it out by measuring distance between hash marks with photoshop.

    found this description from somebody selling a used one.
    Kahles ZF95 10 x 42 #22 RET 104 (Model 5150). BDC is set for 168 grain 7.62mm X 51.

    Stadia are ? m at 100m. Ranging: The #22 uses a stair-stepped bracket range-finding system in the reticle. The series of brackets at the bottom of the reticle are designed to measure a 1 meter vertical target (full head and torso, belt to top of head). Starting at the right, when a one meter vertical target fits between this bracket, the target is 200 meters distant. The next bracket to the left is one meter at 400 meters; the next 600 meters; the next 800 meters, etc. This 10X scope and reticle measures out to 1000 meters. The BDC works to 700 meters.

    If you are talking about the 104 reticule which is standard on the 10x42 all
    measurements are in metres. Windage is 1cm/.36" and standard parallax is
    set a 300m

    The distance between the solid base line on the ranging reticule and numbers 10 through 2 corresponds to 1m or 1.09y at that distance

    on this one, the guy is talking about the same scope but a different reticle. still interesting and might apply somehow to the #104 reiticle.
    The reticle that you are referrencing was made specifically for the Barrett Light 50 Sniper Rifle. Kahles' fixed 10x scope was the only commercially available scope at the time that would stand up to more than 10 consecutive rounds fired through the test rifles. It was referred to in-house as The Christmas Tree Reticle, because the windage markers taper out like a pine tree.

    It is meant to be zeroed at 500 yards. The ballistics for the 50 BMG round translate to the horizontal marks on the verticle post. Slide the marks up or down until you can frame a man-sized target from belt to the top of the head (1 meter) in order to estimate the range. The marks on the horizontal crosshairs on the left and right equal the dope for 5 mPH of wind at that yardage.

    It was meant to be able to engage multiple targets at varying ranges instantaneously without having to adjust the turrets before sending a round.

    All the other answers are close, but the is the only correct one. Trust me, I sold a ton of them when I worked for Swarovski. And I've fired hundreds of .308 through ones built for the ballistics of the 168gr boat tail.

    Thanks guys ya'll have found about the same info I have. I am surprised there is not a larger amount of info. I may go to the sniper hide and ask about it.
