New Sig-Sauer P220 .45 and Gemtech suppressor
This is the first .45 automatic I've purchased in 20 years, but the price was unbeatable. I've always like SIGs and the P220 is one of my favorites. This is my first Gemtech suppressor and also the first can with a "mono-core", which means that instead of a stack of individual baffles inside the tube, there is a single piece of (I suppose) aluminum which has a baffle pattern milled into it. Some shooter prefer the monocore, but I'll find out more tomorrow when I go to the range. I didn't have a single round of .45acp so I went to Walmart and bought two boxes of Federal, that despite the forum posts claiming that Walmart will no longer sell guns or ammo. Well, at least the Walmart in Haines City, Florida still sells both.
Because every gun thread leads to YouTube videos, one photo will be sufficient.

P220's are nice guns.
IMO the H&K USP 45 with a Can is the ultimate supressed 45.
Now you need some sights for it or a little red dot to see over the suppressor.
These are nice:

SIG makes them too but they are out

Nice rig. My vintage 220 does not have a rail but that is fine. Next to my old grey box USP that pair of 45's are awesome. You will like the Sig.

Looking forward to hearing the Sig shot, with and without the suppressor. Hope you can see over the can in front, looks a tad high in the picture. 0 -
How is the front weight/balance of the gun with the can on it? Are the cans very heavy? 0
