The time for hospice has come

Yesterday we got the news we had been dreading. There is nothing more that they can do for Judy. Her brain tumors have come back and new tumors have developed in her lymph nodes.

How much time she has left is a guess but most likely no more than 2 to 3 months best case.

The only blessing is that for now at least she is not in any pain at all. I pray that continues.

I just wanted to say again how much we appreciated your prayers and support.

Its in God's hands now

    Juju, my lady is also in Home Hospice- staff has been a godsend. If you need to talk, send me an email. Hospice recognizes when cure is no longer possible- and focus is on COMFORT of the patient. God's grace and peace to you both.

    I am extremely sorry to hear that Brother.

    I am glad to hear that Judy is currently in no pain. That would be a huge comfort to me.

    Prayers for you and your wife. A very difficult time, but Hospice should help make tings as comfortable as possible for her. Glad she is not in pain and hope she can continue pain free.

    Last night I had a dream. I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from my life. For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one belonged to me, the other to the Lord.

    After the last scene of my life flashed before me, I looked back at the footprints in the sand. I noticed that at many times along the path of my life, especially at the very lowest and saddest times, there was only one set of footprints.

    This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it. "Lord, you said once I decided to follow you, You'd walk with me all the way. But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life, there was only one set of footprints. I don't understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me."

    The Lord replied, "My son, my precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of suffering, when you could see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."
