Had to do it again.........

Heard some noises down stairs and found out my last lab was having troubles. Wife and I spent the night with her, and then took her to the vet when they opened. Little girl was there mentally, but physically she couldn't hardly walk w/o falling over. Think she had a stroke, and at 13+ decided to end her suffering, and not put her through anything just to make the Wife and I feel better. Over the rainbow bridge goes my little lab Sissy..

    I'd be devastated to lose my Buddy.

    hope Rainbow Bridge is waiting for my crossing...got some buddies there i really want to see......found some handy wallet cards with RB on em and give them out to pet people i meet...and have some great visits.....some azzhole people should get it cut short and pass the time to some good pets

    sorry to hear of your loss , she will live on in all the fond memories .
    we have lost many 4 legged friends over the years, we still think of them and talk about them often . they do become part of our families

    I ended up sobbing like a baby when I put my old Border Collie down in the late spring so I know all about it. In my opinion the only thing to do is get a new puppy, the quicker the better.

    The decision is made, don't second guess yourself, you cannot win that debate. You spared her pain and anguish, and gave her a good long life of love and care. Time for a pup and a kitten. ;)

    I had to do the same thing last Thursday with my Black and Tan. Best dog I have ever had. My house is too quiet without him. :cry:

    Sorry for your loss, loosing a family member isn?t easy ... but it sounds like you did the right thing.

    My lab Bailey just turned 10, she getting slower and I know she doesn?t have more than a few years left ... it?s not fair.
