Grossly Overpriced-
Has anyone else here received the Bass Pro/Cabela's Home and Cabin magazine? (2nd one for me.)
Some pretty nice stuff, but I do not appreciate being required to bend over, when buying home furnishings.
Reminds me of that somewhat recent post here, a month or two ago, about a stump being presented as a side table, for about $167, on "Closeout."
I was born at night.

I just received a very fancy enveloped full color magazine from Bass Pro\Cabela's about all of their guided hunts and fishing expeditions. Pretty sure those outings are not in my budget plan!0 -

I have been wanting to replace my Living room furniture. (Way old, bought second hand after I divorced, in 1995.) I would love to do so. The set that I liked/wanted was $3299. Leather couch, love seat, plush seat. (Probably $1K overpriced.)
Worse than Ashley Furniture. Looked at them for a while as well, until I determined/decided they were a rip off as well.
One big reason I have not pulled the trigger on the Textron Ox 400 @ $5700 + delivery.
New Living room furniture, or a Toy - for the Dog and I to have fun on?? Hhhmmmnnn......................

You say that, as you (probably) sit on your pallet wood furniture, power company wood reels for cable - tables, found "lost" coolers upside down for tables, Lawn chairs, inside. Etc. Etc.

(And) Cabela's/Bass Pro Home furnishings, are actually very nice.
Unfortunately, they are also grossly overpriced, apparently for people who have more $$, than common sense.0 -
So you can put your camo carpet in the room with the camo curtains and then a camo love seat and camo couch and a camo chair and you can get on your camo suit and roll around. A different pattern for each room. Oh and one of those cool chan de leers made out of plastic deer antlers, and a couple of duck decoy lamps. Do they still have those talking bass?? And don't forget the dog will need a camo bed. It all sounds so beautiful.. Like some great creature ate a bunch of leaves and corn stalks and threw up all over the place. 0 -

And whats wrong with a wood cable reel table? Got one on the sun porch that must be about 35 years old. I'd bring it in the house but Judy doesn't appreciate it as much as I do. Bob0 -
We drove out to Crane Missouri, yesterday. Whole down town area - 2 sides of 1 street - is all antique shops.
Something to do. Saw a big cable reel for sale in one of the antique (junk) stores, reminded me of the one I had in my college dorm room, 24 years ago.
I was actually looking for a cheap old wooden chair. Want to use it out on the back deck to shoot off of.
My springy lawn chair doesn't promote good shooting form.
Speaking of buying furniture - recently purchased a king size bed set - frame, Serta Mattress, & night stands. Very comfortable. Matching Dressers will be next, I'm sure.
I too have been looking for a new couch. I want one that is deep and tall. Seems those two combinations don't exist. Don't want an electric recliner couch as most likely a cat would get trapped / killed by it. Can't have leather (Damn Cats).0 -

Furniture is expensive and good furniture is even more expensive.
We got new furniture after I retired and we moved to where we live now. Our stuff was a mix of crap we both had and had been moved all over the world.
I sold it at a yard sale before we moved.

It's really hard to judge the quality of upholstered furniture w/o tearing off the dust cover underneath. There's thin springs and few springs on most of it. I've been eyeing the higher end patio furniture at lowes. Some of looks as good as a lot of Living room stuff and likely more durable. 0 -

The stuff in there is bought by decorators that add 20 percent on top and bill some accountant. The people that are end users are not worried about a couch cost in their 1mm Tahoe bungalow, they are more worried about how their Prada will contrast with their Jimmy Choos0
