Wants to save them all
Second day of a 4 day road trip, 3 states away from home, my wife sees a couple of kittens outside a convenience store at 8:30 at night. She wants to try to catch them [we happened to have a small critter carrier in the trunk].
I suppose maybe I should have let her try but if she had actually caught any we really didn't have any way to care for them on the road.
She called that store today, the person who answered assured her there are a lot of cats that hang out there and customers often buy food in the store to feed them.

Oh, it's not just cats. When I met her she had 9 dogs. We have rescued 2 birds, a pair of guinea pigs, and paid for neutering at least 6 feral cats.0
