if you have an old candle melt it down and pour into a jar lid to about 1/2" deep, when solidified push case mouth into it and remove a loaded wax bullet & you're ready to have some fun.

Press them over a block of parrifin wax. They'll shoot fine with just the primer to power them.

    hmm, check this out
    Wax bullet dueling
During the early 20th century, there was some interest in mock dueling with pistols loaded with wax bullets. The sport first gained popularity in France, and heavy canvas clothing was worn to protect the body, a metal helmet with a thick glass plate protected the head and face, and the pistols were often equipped with guards on the front of the trigger guard that extended outwards to protect the shooter's hand. For a brief time it was popular, and was featured during the 1908 Summer Olympics.

might save them for the 4th of July. load them with firecracker powder and cork it up with a mini marshmallow. (afraid of a wax bullet having too much back pressure and blow my gun up)

I could do that. got one of those 3-hole punchers that would make a bunch of circles in no time. good idea.

    sawdust, but no confetti effect.

hmm, what flammable particles could I put in there. oil-soaked sawdust in front of a patch? flour?

pipe tobacco would smell good.

Mix black powder and sawdust and use a disc cut from manila folder to keep it in.

I shot a bunch of wax loads out of my 38 wheel gun. A lot of fun, enough punch to kill a Rat or go through a single layer of cardboard.
Hard wax works best. I poured melted wax into a chopped off (not resized) shell casing about 3/8th inch full and then pushed them out to load into my primered cases. I greased the inside if the case before the pour. I even got fancy after a while and put some loose cotton ball fuzz into the mold before pouring. The cotton helped reduce the barrel fouling some. The barrel is a bit rough to clean.

If you have a bul?let mold even better. A little cotton or dacron mixed in with the wax reduces the fouling some.
