Some Rain Finally -
Was forecasted and supposed to be a "steady soaking rain," all day today. 95% chance. I was bummed it did not take place.
Nothing, (although overcast,) until 5:15 pm. Steady rain coming down now. We need it badly. While the first part of summer started off quite wet, the latter half of summer was exceedingly hot and dry.
Our creeks and spring have dried up. Glad to see this coming down. I hope it lasts overnight, at least.
Skies fairly dark/overcast just now. Hope it lasts.

I do not appreciate you spying on me like that.
That Gel foam "Spring Fresh," Body Wash soap works great. (I've heard.)

havent had a drop of rain for about 40 days, state wide burn ban. had clouds and thunder today and a very light spattering of rain, not enough to wet the ground. like you, we sure need some. 0 -
It all went north of us. We got less than 1/2?. Better than nothing.

the forecast for my area >>>
Rainy end?
All eyes are on a low pressure system that will be sinking out of Canada into the Rockies today. The strong southerly wind through the central plains will help fuel the storm. This low pressure could bring blizzard conditions for the Dakota?s, our region will stay to warm for snow. Showers could start as early as Thursday morning. These showers could become heavy at times, especially overnight Thursday into Friday. As the low pressure heads east Friday night, cool air behind the low may be able to bring a few flurries, but no accumulation expected.
Mississippi River at La Crosse Wi.?The Flood stage this evening was 11.06
feet. Flood stage is 12.0 feet. The river is forecast to rise above
flood stage Thursday morning, and reach 12.10 feet Thursday afternoon.
This would result in Minor flooding.0 -
Been raining here most of the summer. Our total rainfall for the year is way above average. Heck, almost impossible to get a dry day to mow the yard and the farmers had wet fields at planting time and some can't get their crops harvested now due to the rain, wet grain and muddy fields.
Now, the forecast for later this week is temps dropping below freezing and snow in the forecast.
Yup, that is called "climate change'

It's so dry and dusty here that ducks are wearing goggles and flying backwards. 0 -
I held a class down at my pond this morning that was well attended by the fish and frogs. I explained why they should not drink mud. I had a tough time explaining the water falling from the clouds does not mean the sky is falling! 0 -
Nice rain in Jonesborough last night, but could definitely use a couple more like it. 0 -
We are looking for some rain here in upstate SC also. See some rain on the radar but none yet at our house (West of Anderson, SC on Lake Hartwell). We need it bad as our trees are starting to drop their leaves instead of turning color. 0
