If I still was a hunter I would jump on that Ross.

Yep, I kinda thought the same thing, but a quick search shows those shoot a .287 dia. bullet. Then another quick search shows that .287 bullets are readily available, so back to wanting it again!

Yea ammo would be hard to make, that and the bullet size.

I think you can make cases from Ruger 375 cases and Woodleigh make bullets but they are kind of spendy. Just getting the forming dies together would be expensive.

BTW the rear sight was only marked 500(Yards) because the rifle was so flat shooting you didn't need to compensate for range inside 500 yards ;) YMMV

I'd sure like to hear the stories those two could tell!

Kayce did good on the Ross.

I hope whoever won it will take it out every once in a while a shoot it or even hunt with it.

I just bought a Ross 1910 in 303 that has a scope on it. I intend to hunt this fall with it.

Them falls can be hard to find.  But if you hunt hard from late September to November you can usually find one.
    Enjoy your new rifle.
