did some fishin....
Started by throwing the cast net. A few finger mullet, a couple of mud minnows, and a half dozen near jumbo size shrimp.
Ended up catching a big catfish, missing a big redfish, and catching this one - might have been legal but I don't like to eat fish, just catch 'em, so back he went. Was running a finger mullet on a free line no weight in the shallows, lots of bait breaking around, and the red slammed mine.

That HAS to be your lucky fishing shirt. 0 -
In Florida Red fish keepers are 18-27 inches most everywhere else is about the same 18-30". 0 -
Yeah, saw a kid pull in a measured 43" red last weekend and had to give him the bad news... he took it well though 0 -
Very nice fish your holding

Shell Mound park/boat ramp in the Suwanee NWR area, just outside of Cedar Key Fl (a drinking town with a fishing problem and a nasty artist infestation). West coast of Fl between Steinhatchee and Crystal River - the "Big Bend".
Definitely salt ....0 -
I was wrong again  I've owned a house in Steinhatchee since the mid-1970's back when it was mainly all logging country and cheap, only 2 hrs from home.........love fishing the flats especially for the Specks. I could tell you a few stories about the local smugglers, shrimpers and loggers shooting pool and drinking but I'm told this is a family forum

Showed the pic to Mrs Roswell and she said it HAS to be at least 36 inches, she?s a good judge of size ...
