10 passengers and 3 crew lost. :( The Nine-O-Nine is no more.

Got a few pictures with the bomber when I was a teenager. To say I felt 10 feet tall and bulletproof on that day would be a gross understatement.

Wow, I have a picture of "Nine O Nine" that I took at our local airport a few years back. That pic is my screensaver.

I flew in "Madras Maiden" (Tail #448543) in May of 2017. It was an experience I looked forward to for years - and will never forget. Link: http://warbirdregistry.org/b17registry/b17-448543.html

How sad it is that others died while achieving that same kind of bucket list dream. And also how sad that an irreplaceable plane is lost.

Saw that as well, so sad. Another grand old bird is gone.

I toured through Nine-O-Nine when it was here in 2008 as part of an air show. I decided not to take an E-Ticket ride in the old aircraft, but I did get a bunch of pictures outside as well as inside. Very sad!!
