Heat, deer season and electricity
Today is the first day of archery season here in Indiana. It will be close to 100 degrees, maybe the hottest day of the year and will set a regional all time high temperature record for the month of October. Can you even imagine trying to deer hunt in this stuff.
Maybe the hottest day of the year and our electricity went off about 2 pm. Electric company reported we may have power by 5. I kept the doors closed and the drapes pulled to keep in the cool air as long a possible. The power came back on about 3 though, so no real issue, the beer in the refrigerator didn't even get warm.
It will cool off some later this week and it will be cold soon enough. If I hunt archery season though it will have been after mid October. It's just too hot.

Yeah um so I don't know who is responsible Man, God, or fluke but I think the globe is without question getting warmer.
Now the question is can mankind actually do anything to change it?
I wouldn't want to harvest a deer in this heat might cook before the processor can divide it!0 -
90 here on opening day.
Yes, I stayed home.
Supposed to drop down to low 70's Thursday. I plan on going out that afternoon and Friday a.m.0 -
It is going to be 97 today and 98 Thursday, then is going to "cool" off to the high 70's this weekend.
I don't deer hunt anymore but if I did I doubt I would be out in that heat. The deer must still be covered in ticks and you would have to process the meat ASAP unless you have access to a big cooler.0 -

It's been happening about ever 10,000 years. Since there were very few people around 10,000 years ago when the last ice age ended and the planet warmed up that sorta rules out man.0
