The Green, Green Grass of Home...
I saw this crop this morning in Weaverville NC. I thought it was a new Christmas Tree farm. Lots of Christmas trees grown up here in the mountains.
I have been buying Christmas trees in Weaverville, for 23 years. I decided to inspect the crop.
It didn't smell like Frazier Fir. It smelled like someone had run over a skunk.

Industrial hemp . Most of my neighbors who previously grew tobacco have switched to hemp. Profits are double to triple that of tobacco. Less work and risk , plus it grows well even on poor soil . 0 -
I was down in SW Oregon last weekend for my dad's 91st birthday. It's everywhere down there, can't swing a dead cat without hittin' a pot plant. The whole valley stunk to high heaven. 0 -

Sorry, but my first inclination is, that is not "Industrial Hemp", with big red hairy buds like that. With the "skunk" smell also?
I do not believe that is "Industrial Hemp." IMHO.
I am surprised you could just walk up on it though.0 -
