    Wow!

    A positive Pit Bull post.

    Never saw this coming.

Looks like my Pit at 9 months. (When I adopted him.) Except he has a black muzzle and Johnny Depp eyeliner. Now about 75-85 lbs. of pure muscle. (Only other Tan Pit, I have ever seen, beyond my own.)

My Dog, my best friend, would lay down his life for me. (I have no doubt.)

I would do the same for him, in a heartbeat.

Most loyal loving dog, I have ever had.

Best dog, (by far) I have ever owned.

Makes me sad to look at that photo, because he looks so much like mine. I'd be devastated to lose my best bud.

Had the dog left the snake alone, all would have been well. Coral snakes are not aggressive and don't eat kids.

you can ignore all the reasons for pit bulls. you can ignore all the reasons against pit bulls. either way you already had your mind made up and you're just arguing your preference to all the other fools who suppose you're actually being rational.

    what did the owners say?
?Pit bulls are the most loyal dog I know of, and I?ve had a lot of different animals in my life,? Gary said.

?If you find (a pit bull) that?s aggressive, most likely, it?s because they weren?t treated right,? Gina said. ?If you treat them right, they would give their life for you and I owe my son?s life to him.?

Just about any loyal dog would have done the same thing. Every one that I have ever had would have.

    Interesting.

So, I guess this is another reason for people not to own pit bull dogs, right?

Nope, though they tend to scare me around here, but it is a reason not to mess with venomous snakes, and to keep your pet safe.

I look at anti-pit bull post the exact same way I look at anti-gun post,,No matter if it was a Chihuahua attack the media will say a pitbull mix,,just like if there is a shooting,,could have been a .22lr but the media will report it as an AR-15 variant.. I love the ones when they say a large pit 120+ lbs,, and you see a picture of some off mixed breed looking creature,, when you comment a huge pit is 60lbs,,the breed just does not grow that large,,you get attacked worse than the dog.. now I do not own a pit,,never have,,but I can remember when it was Dobermans,,which I have owned,,before that it was German Sheppards ect,,the media always has to have a boogieman.

Owning a Pit, I am still very leery of being around Pits I am unfamiliar with. (Respect the breed, and their capabilities.) Mine NEVER, runs free. With me, on lead - or hooked on the over built trolley. One out front, one out on the back deck.

Especially if there are two to three of them. (Pack mentality.)

I know my Pit, and the loving upbringing he has had. Super gentle with me, unless looking to rough house. Like just a few minutes ago. :o

Others, I'm not so sure of.

Having said that about my dog, he is a different animal if you show up on my property unannounced. Scary, even to me. Would not want to take him on.

He dog, When I read what kind of snake (Coral snake) I was of the same opinion. Leave them alone, they will leave you alone. I was expecting the read, to be of a python or such.

Thank you Sir, a voice of reason.
