Found in box while searching through a Gunsmith Shop

Any help with this will be greatly appreciated
First post was a failure--could not post pictures--think I have figured it out

Main body is 3"
Overall length is 5"

  I can see the pic's. Looks like a door lock mechanism to me. Poorly drilled off.
