It Should Not Have Bothered Me
I went to get measured for a suite last night. While he was measuring me there were 4 to 6 people waiting in line for things and all of a sudden the man measuring me wanted to be a comedian.
He made a comment about me being cut from ear to ear under my neck. He told me that it looked like Al qaeda tried to cut my head off. Then he told me where my trach was it looked like they drilled a hole in my throat.
I took a little step back, made a fist and my wife stepped between us and told me to go pick out a pair of shoes. My wife had a few words with him and we left and got a suit from somewhere else.
Normally if i get mad anywhere especially in public my wife will let me have it the next time we are alone.
She has not said anything yet so im waiting. LOL
One thing about me is i do not argue or raise my voice. I skipp that gear.

Actually I think it should have bothered you and it obviously did, what he did was classless. You should still notify the management of that store so he can be replaced with someone more deserving of a job selling products to customers. 0 -

The guy was an idiot, but, IMO, it is not worth the time or effort to be bothered by it.
I am a member of a private golf club, and most of the folks I golf with at the club are very well off and make a bit of an effort to look the part while on the course. They are all wonderful people, but i have gotten a couple of comments about me wearing my shirt untucked. I cannot tuck in a shirt because of a bag glued to my belly that hangs down past the belt line. It is something that bothers me quite a bit because while I do not consider myself fashionable by any means, I do like to look kept.
During a recent tournament, one of the guys said 'You would think a member of a private club would tuck in his shirt'. I would think he did it partially to get into my head as we were neck and neck for the tournament lead, but there was more to it that just trash talk. I simply smiled and mentioned that I wish I could, but unfortunately cannot. He felt like a fool and dropped a shot or two on the next 3 holes, losing the tournament.
I suppose I could have let it bother me, but for me, an 'F*** You' smile seems to always work out in the end.0 -

Yes it should have Brother. (It would have me, as well.)
At the very least, he deserved to have his shirt front bunched up in a fist, a nose to nose conversation - relaying, "You have no idea, what I have been through. What makes you think this is funny?"
You had EVERY right to be PO'd. He is lucky he did not get his ass beat. Sounds like your Wife saved him from getting what was coming to him. (Justifiably.)
