Pabst Blue Ribbon "Extra"

It's extra bad... Saw me a few 12 packs for sale for $10 and since I never saw them before I gave them a try. I don't know why they're not as drinkable as the regular PBR. I don't understand how few "extra" points make it so horrible. I think Natty Ice is more drinkable than the PBR "extra". Good thing I got enough Clamato to make them drinkable.

    Regular PBR was my beer of choice for many years. When they recently lost their brewer contract and started having Samuel Adams make it for them, I found the taste unsatisfactory. :x

    Switched to Hamm's for a short while and when my local grocery store was out of Hamm's one day, I tried Hamm's Special Light.
    Found that I liked it much better than regular Hamm's and it now is my favorite beer.

    they had 18 packs on sale here year or two ago, I couldn't even get em down with tomato juice, good luck with the clamato, I put em in the refrigerator in the garage for folks who stop by and bum a beer, I think there are still a couple in the door of the fridge......

    I have always been a fan of PBR.

    I really like Hamms. Wish it still came in a glass bottle, can only get it in cans.

    I grew up in Peoria IL in the '50's. Pabst had a brewery in Peoria Heights. A few of my pals after high school went to work there. It was acceptable to just grab a bottle off the line and pound it down. Naturally, passing out was frowned upon. True story.

    PBR is sold in Whole Foods, of all places. If they had it in bottles I'd buy it. Can't get Schaefer out here.

    For me also. We could buy beer at 18 in WI in the 1960's. PBR was all anyone under 30 drank it seemed. Nothing else was considered as good and we drank lots of it. Every friday night beer bust was garbage cans full of ice and dozens of cans of PBR. In the army though, Budweiser seemed to prevail. Think I had my last PBR in the late 70's, and then the Miller Lite craze began.

    Shaped up for loading trucks in the 70's too
    Gave us beer at break time. Sucked even when free LOL
